The opportunity

PowerKube produces advanced striking-performance technology used by combat-sports athletes, coaches and gyms.

Unlike a typical ecommerce product, buying a PowerKube is a considered investment. The product must be introduced to the right audience, its value clearly demonstrated, and potential customers given a compelling reason to take the next step.

Our objective was to use Meta advertising to expand PowerKube's presence in the United States and turn that exposure into measurable commercial growth.

Reaching a specialist audience at scale

PowerKube appeals to a relatively specific customer: someone serious enough about combat sports to invest in accurately measuring and improving striking performance.

That makes broad, untargeted advertising inefficient.

Our Meta campaigns concentrated on reaching relevant audiences in the US and communicating what made PowerKube different from conventional training equipment. The advertising needed to make the technology understandable while showing how it could be used in a genuine training environment.

This helped the brand reach potential customers who may never have actively searched for PowerKube but immediately understood its value once they saw it in action. That distinction matters when you are entering a market: search captures demand that already exists, while paid social can create it.

The creative mix that carried it

For a product like this, the creative does more work than the targeting. No audience setting will sell specialist equipment to someone who hasn't seen it used properly.

The campaigns ran on three types of asset, each doing a different job.

User-generated video showed the product in real training environments, which is what makes an unfamiliar piece of technology credible to an athlete or coach. Founder-led video carried the explanation, covering why the product exists and what it measures, which is difficult to convey in a static image and important for a considered purchase. Static product imagery then handled the closing work for people who already understood the product and needed the detail.

Running all three in parallel meant the account could serve the right kind of proof depending on how familiar someone already was with the brand.

Selling a high-ticket product through Meta

Meta is often associated with inexpensive, impulse-driven purchases. PowerKube presented a different challenge.

With a high-value product, customers generally require more information and consideration before buying. Campaign performance therefore depended on building confidence in the product rather than simply attracting the cheapest possible clicks. Making that case well is usually a conversion problem as much as a media one.

From brand discovery to sales growth

The campaign's success was ultimately measured by its commercial impact.

Over the six months in which we ran Meta advertising in the United States, PowerKube's sales approximately doubled.

For a specialist product operating within a defined market, that represented a substantial improvement, and it showed what becomes possible when a strong product is matched with focused paid social. A niche audience is not a small opportunity if you can reach it efficiently and give it a reason to act.

Looking to grow in a new market?

Entering a new country is usually less about budget than about whether your advertising can explain the product to people who have never encountered it.

If you're introducing an established product to a new market, or trying to scale within your existing one, happy to take a look at whether paid social is the right route.
